The Camdenville Public School parents and citizens' association (P&C) meetings are held in Week 3 and Week 8 of each term on a Tuesday night, from 7pm in the school staff room. All school parents/carers are welcome to attend.
The P&C is a group of interested parents, teachers and community members who are committed to working co-operatively to enhance the educational experience of children at Camdenville Public School. It is the representative voice of parents and carers with children at the school.
Under the education act, the P&C objectives and functions include:
- promoting the interest of the school by bring parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation
- assisting in providing facilities and equipment for the school and promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school
- encouraging parents and community participation in curriculum and other education issues in school
- assisting and co-operating with teaching staff at public functions associated with the school.
The P&C is active in raising funds to assist the school and your children's education. Funds raised or obtained through grants have gone towards interactive whiteboards, mobile laptops, an all purpose sports court, large outdoor playground equipment, a large outdoor learning area (fig tree deck) and other wooden decks and most recently a major upgrade of the school canteen.
Becoming involved in P&C activities is also a great way to connect with others within the school community and to help foster a close and caring school community of parents, children and teachers. We are always keen to hear about any issues affecting your children as well as ideas for improving the school environment, activities for the school, and new fundraising ideas or events that you may have in mind.
Joining the P&C
To continue our work, the P&C needs people with a range of experiences and talents who are committed to delivering great outcomes for our children and school. The more people involved, the more we will be able to achieve.
Membership is 50c for each calendar year of membership. Joining the P&C entitles you to vote at meetings following the date you became a member.
