A key role of the Camdenville parents and citizens' association (P&C) is to raise funds to help the school buy equipment and other materials to benefit your children's education.
The ways that the Camdenville Public School community can become involved in P&C fundraising include:
- becoming a P&C member and attending/contributing to P&C meetings
- joining a sub-committee that is created to help organise specific fundraising events
- volunteering to help out a fundraising events such as an election day BBQ
We greatly appreciated any help from the Camdenville Public School community. Fundraising is a team sport, the more players, the better. Thank you to all those Camdenville parents and carers who are currently involved with the P&C or who have contributed to it in the past. Thank you also to those who have volunteered your time or your baking efforts towards P&C events and activities.
How the P&C funds are used
The money that the P&C raises is used to benefit Camdenville Public School students and the whole school community. Here are some of the major items the P&C, through your generosity and the support of sponsors and prize donors, has been able to fund for the school.
These can include:
- interactive whiteboards
- laptops and iPad Minis
- multipurpose sports courts (the P&C grants sub-committee obtained a grant to fund this)
- large outdoor playground equipment
- large outdoor learning area (fig tree deck) and various wooden platforms for students to play on
- upgrade of canteen—including payment for new tile flooring, roller door and kitchen equipment such as new large oven, bench top and kitchen sink
